WHY SHREDTOBER MATTERS
Bozeman is growing, and its skateboarding community is growing with it.Skateboard Alliance of Montana is working alongside the City of Bozeman and community partners toward a larger, connected skatepark system for the city. Events like Shredtober give the community a place to come together now while helping build support for the places we want to skate tomorrow.Every person who shows up, volunteers, sponsors, donates, shares the event or simply spends the day with us helps push that work forward.

WHAT IS SHREDTEMBER?
An all-ages, family-friendly event that brings skaters and community together for live music, raffles, art booths, and a jam-format skate contest. Last year’s first Shredtember was a huge success, and this year’s is shaping up to be even bigger, with some added surprises.
WHY IT MATTERS:
Montana’s first concrete park — Kirk Park in Bozeman — is now 25 years old. It is now Bozeman's only skatepark, and since the construction of Kirk Park, Bozeman’s population has nearly tripled. To make matters more urgent, the BYEP skatepark was just demolished last summer, leaving the community with even fewer places to skate. We did a final event on the first day of the demolition that went super well. Check out the recap video emphasizing the need for a new skate space here: BYEP SKATEPARK'S LAST SESH EVENT
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Shredtember is a true community effort, and there are many ways to get involved:
-
SHOW UP!!! – The most important thing you can do is be there. A huge turnout shows city leaders, sponsors, and the community that Bozeman needs a new skatepark. The more people who come, the stronger our voice.
-
Product Sponsors – Donate gear, apparel, or skate goods for contest prizes and raffles. Your brand gets recognition on fliers, shout-outs during the event, and a thank-you in the recap video.
-
Financial Sponsors – Help us cover event expenses and keep Shredtember free and accessible for all. Every dollar goes directly into making the event bigger, better, and more impactful. All profits after expenses go directly to the New Skatepark Fund.
-
Artists & Nonprofits – This year we’re expanding Shredtember with booths for local artists and nonprofits. It’s a chance to showcase your work, connect with the community, and be part of the day’s creative energy.
Your support not only makes this event possible, it fuels the momentum for the next generation of skateparks in Bozeman. For more information about the event, sponsorship, nonprofit and artist opportunities, our 2026 Sponsor Packet will be availible soon!
