Jason Singler
Lifelong skateboarder, filmmaker, and event organizer dedicated to building community through skateboarding, art, and music. He grew up in Seattle, where his roots in skate culture and creativity began, and moved to Bozeman in 2022 before settling in Livingston in early 2025. With a professional background in video production, Jason runs his own company—Blazing Arrow Productions—specializing in creative storytelling, live event coverage, and promotional content.'
Jason has worked at several core shops and parks—including Skatebarn, Mukilteo YMCA, and Element YMCA Skatecamp in California’s Sequoia National Forest—coaching camps, leading clinics, and organizing contests. He’s traveled the world skating in demos and contests across France, Amsterdam, and Spain, always bringing that global inspiration back to the local scene. From Seattle’s Mongo Bean Bonk to Montana’s Shredtember, March Forward, and Skartshow, Jason blends skateboarding, art, and music to build unforgettable community experiences.

In this heartfelt mini-doc, Nate Howe—founder of Cub Power Skateboards—shares his personal journey through Montana’s evolving skate scene. From his first broken-wrist encounter with a board in the '70s to building a grassroots skate shop in Butte, Nate reflects on how skateboarding shaped his life, offered mental clarity, and created community. He speaks candidly about Montana's skate history, the rise of parks through local organizing, and the importance of making skateboarding inclusive for all ages and backgrounds. A powerful reminder that a skateboard is more than a toy—it’s a lifeline.

Kirk Park in Bozeman, designed to bring skaters of all ages together for a day of music, best trick contests, local vendor booths, and community connection. Created to reignite the Bozeman skate scene after a quiet stretch, the event also serves as a platform for gathering feedback on park upgrades and showcasing the vibrant culture that surrounds Montana skateboarding. With live looping music, food, prizes, and heavy local support, Shredtember is more than a contest—it’s a celebration of skateboarding’s power to unite and inspire.
SKARTSHOW
Art, Music & Community Fundraiser
Held at Low Brow Burgers in Bozeman, the Skart Show brought together local artists, musicians, and skateboarders to raise funds for SAM’s winter and spring programs. The event featured hand-painted decks by tattoo artists and skaters, a raffle, a jam night with live music (including a full DIY setup of synths, drums, and more), and a packed house of supporters. With help from Outlaw Brewing and a solid turnout, Skart Show proved how powerful creativity can be when it’s used to strengthen the skate community.

BLANK SKATE PROJECT
HAWK'S NEST TOUR
A two-part video project that documents one of the most unique grassroots skate events in the country and the DIY indoor skatepark behind it. The Blank Skate Project showcases over 60 artists transforming blank decks into expressive works of art, live tattooing, a custom-built best trick setup, and performances from four bands—blending skateboarding with art, music, and community. The follow-up Hawks Nest Tour, led by North Dakota Skateboarding Association co-founder Ryan Turner, offers a full walkthrough of the indoor park’s layout, DIY origins, and future expansion plans. Together, the videos highlight what a small but committed crew can build when skateboarding becomes a community mission.
